"No hour of Life speny in the saddle is wasted" Winston Churchill
My parents must have known that as well as they put me on pony rides at Griffith Park in Loa Angels as soon as I could walk. Horses have been in my blood and heart ever since. In High School I had no interest in dating. As soon as I got out of school I was at thestables helping out just so I could ride for an hour.
All through 21 years in the Army and after, horses were not far away. In 2014 I became a Certified Therpeutic ring instructor with PATH International and was introduced to the world of helping veterans with challenges from the military care by using horses. In 2015 I completely retired from having to have a job and in 2016 found other like minded horse people and we conceived the idea of using existing Army resources- horses and facilities on Fort Huachuca- to help veterans seeking assistance with getting their lives back in order. HOOVES was born.
